A founding partner of Alliance Music Publications, Sally Schott taught in the Pasadena ISD for 39 years, serving as South Houston High School choral director from 1974-2004. Currently, she is a consultant for the Bay Area Chorus, an educational advisor for the Houston Chamber Choir and supervises University of Houston student teachers. She is co-founder of Quaid/Schott Media Productions, producers of new DVDs featuring Weston Noble and Paul Salamunovich. AMC Publications projects include new sight reading books for treble and mixed choirs. Ms. Schott graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma College for Women and earned a master’s degree from the University of North Texas. In 1987 UNT recognized her as an outstanding music education graduate, and she was inducted into the OCW Hall of Fame in 1996. Choirs under her direction have presented invitational performances for national conventions of MENC and ACDA, three ACDA Southwestern Division conventions and six TMEA conventions. A charter member of TMAA, her professional service includes terms as TMEA State Vocal Chair, Chair of the UIL Prescribed Music List Committee for Choir, TCDA Vice President and ACDA Southwestern Division President.
